Tel-Aviv and Jaffa tour

Rates: $760 up to 4 passengers, $890 up to 7 passengers

We will embark on a short 'get acquainted' tour of Tel Aviv. The main places of attraction in Tel Aviv include Herzl Street, Tel Aviv's first boulevard; the Carmel Shuk (marketplace) - a bustling open air bazaar filled with spicy and mysterious aromas and lots of colorful wares for sale. Nearby is the "Greenwich Village" of Tel Aviv - Shenkin Street. Also nearby is one of the oldest roads in Tel Aviv - the famous Allenby Street. Continue towards Old Jaffa where we will see the house of Simon the Tanner where Peter the apostle was lodging after the resurrection of Tabetha (Acts 9) and where Christianity took a turn from the tiny clique closed to outsiders to the missionary religion it is today with the vision of Peter that takes place there (Acts 10). We will also see the central plaza where during the summer nights there are street festivals and music. Drive along the well-known Rothschild Boulevard and pass by Independence Hall, located in the house of Meir Dizengoff, the first Mayor of Tel Aviv. Here David Ben Gurion, the First Prime Minister, announced the Declaration of Independence on May 14th, 1948. Whether you call it Bauhaus or International Style architecture, Tel Aviv is still the only city in the world that houses such a large collection of buildings designed in this style. Many have been recently meticulously renovated and restored. This style of building evolved in Germany in the 1920's, came to an abrupt end (in Germany) with the Nazi's rise to power and continued to develop in the U.S. and elsewhere. In Tel Aviv of the 1930's, Bauhaus architecture flourished, as is evidenced by many of the wonderful buildings that line the city's streets where you can see excellent examples of Bauhaus Architecture from the 1930's, some of which have been recently beautifully restored. The "White City of Tel Aviv" has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. Complete the day with a drive by of numerous landmarks such as the “Habima” Theater, Rabin square, Tel Aviv university and the Yarkon park.

MASSADA AND THE DEAD SEA – From Tel Aviv

Rates: $1090 up to 4 passengers, $1290 up to 7 passengers

Early morning departure to the Dead Sea area. Drive through the Judean Wilderness passing along the way the desert oasis of Ein Gedi with its lush greenery and cool waterfalls. This is where King David, before becoming king, hid from Saul in one of the caves of this Oasis as is mentioned in the book of 1 Samuel 24. You will be able to appreciate the unique and flourishing flora and fauna of this area and you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a few beautiful Ibex and Hyrax hiding in the surrounding mountains. Arrive at Massada - Ascend the cliff top fortress by cable car. Hear the dramatic story of the Zealots that held off the Roman legions for three additional years after the Temple was destroyed and the rebellion ended elsewhere. Learn about the spirit of the Jews that were willing to end their lives rather than become slaves of the Romans. From the top of Massada, the outlines of the Roman encampments are still visible below. Descend by cable car. In the Dead Sea area, we will proceed to one of the beaches where you will be able to experience a therapeutic dip in the Dead Sea. Let the buoyant waters support you as you relax on your back and think of nothing else but the sea and salt all around you. Drive by "The Inn of The Good Samaritan" which is mentioned on one of the parables Jesus teaches his disciples so as to show them the love of the fellow brother. Drive back.
